Import Specialist

Barilla Turkey is looking for an Import Specialist based in İstanbul to join Customer Service Team. The individual will report to the Head of Customer Service - Turkey and will resposible for all import processes.

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for all import processes starting from ordering till delivery to the warehouse.
  

Key Accountabilities:

• Cooperation with related functions (Demand Planning, Logistics and Finance..) in order to improve the effectiveness of the processes
  
• Close follow up the customs and food regulations
  
• Manage the importation permit processes and lead the legal check processes of product artworks
  
• Manage the relationship with 3rd parties (customs broker, logistic provider, bonded warehouse)
  
• Cost calculation for imported goods
  
• Ensure constant monitoring of the actualized costs and focus on cost saving projects
  
• Documentation preparation and follow up
  
• Strong contribution to the day-to-day business

Requirements:

• University Degree
  
• Min. 2 years experience in Import (preferably in Food Sector)
  
• Very good knowledge of Foreign Trade Regulations, Customs Clearance Processes and Incoterms. Food Legislation knowledge will be a plus.
  
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
  
• Strong drive to constantly improve processes.
  
• Strong analytical skills, intense attention to details with accuracy and consistency.
  
• Fluent in English and Turkish both written and spoken.
