General Qualifications:

BEST Transformer, founded in 1966 in Balıkesir, produces oil immersed distribution transformers, power transformers, cast resin transformers, reactors and mechanical components in its newly-built and modernized - design, production and testing departments.

We search for “R&D Engineer” to enrich our growing team.

• Postgraduate / doctorate degree in Electrical (preferred) or Electrical - Electronics Engineering.
• Having experience in modelling and analyzing Electric Machinery or newly graduated
• Willing to study on Electric and Magnetic Fields, different R&D projects.
• Good knowledge of Electrical Machinery and Finite Elements Method.
• Coordination with design, test and manufacturing departments.
• Excellent command of reading, written and spoken English
• Eager (& Have) to research, learn and application.
• Patient, result-oriented, good interpersonal skills.
• No obligation for military service (for male candidates).
• Living in or willing to relocate to Balıkesir.

• Working as a researcher in R & D Projects.
• Managing & completing power transformers R&D Projects.
• TÜBİTAK / TEYDEB Project Preparation, Execution, Defense.
• Writing articles, making publications, translating research projects into literatures
• Analyzing electrostatics insulation problems for high voltage power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Designing insulation systems for high voltage power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Analyzing electromagnetics problems for high voltage power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Designing magnetic shielding systems.
• Analyzing short circuit impedance, tank wall and eddy losses and thermal distribution. 
• Fault analyzing and taking precautions.
• Determining electrical insulation and magnetic shielding system norms and publishing.
• Optimizing manufacturing costs.
