Senior Battery Design Engineer

We are looking for highly qualified and talented individuals to join our engineering team at R&D Centers in Istanbul.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system and component design of battery packs, preferably in the automotive sector 
• Working experience with PTC Creo Parametric, Siemens NX and/or DS Catia V5 DFMEA and DVP knowledge
• Willingness to travel abroad 
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German is a plus) 

Thorough knowledge about at least two of the below: 

• Wiring Harness Design 
• Plastic Parts Design 
• Steel Parts Design Battery Cell/module layout design 
• Cooling system design 
• High & low voltage electrical system layout and specification 
• Vehicle battery pack integration 
• Generic structural machinery design 

Job Description:

• Performs battery system/components design work for HEV/EV applications on customer projects 
• System and component level (electrical and mechanical) design of battery packs; including integration into vehicle platforms 
• Preparation of battery design reviews 
• Preparation of battery system and component quality documentation (boundary diagrams, P diagrams, robustness check lists, FMEAs and test plans) 
• Liaises with relevant teams to support battery design tasks (i.e. simulation, component engineers, testing, suppliers and manufacturing) 
• Creation of battery pack/module drawings Assessment of test and simulation results and defining next steps Supports supplier assessment and discussions 
• Plans and formulates own work flow and that of others to meet specified deadlines with a minimum of supervision
