Import Specialist

ATS is a leading Agency and Distribution House, operating in the specialty chemicals, food, feed, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries since 1987 in Turkey.

Now, we are looking for an “Import Specialist” for our talented team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for;

• Managing and following the warehouse, import, customs operations and overseas purchasing process
• Strong knowledge on customs legislation and required ministerial import permits
• Creation of overseas orders and follow up of import operations
• Excellent oral and written communication with overseas suppliers
• Providing the necessary documents related to the products to be in stock from abroad
• Ensuring the complete warehouse entry of products and regular stock controls
• Strong collaboration with sales and finance departments and obtain all certification documents and ensure compliance to all import policies 
• To follow up the letter of credit transactions for import
• Organization of international transportations and strong customer-oriented approach in delivering services
• Creation of insurance and claim files
• Preparing reports requested by manager

 Required Qualifications:

• University degree
• Minimum 3 years of import operations experience on specific industries such as, food ingredients, veterinary pharmaceutical products, feed supplements or raw materials for pharma
• Good command of English both written and spoken is a must
• Working knowledge on ERP systems operation functions, “Micro” and “CRM” experience will be preferred
• Knowledge of Turkish foreign trade and Customs regulations
• Hard and dynamic worker
• Having interpersonal skills to act as a team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
