We are looking for a FINANCIAL CONTROLLER- Turkey

Aperam, a best in class stainless steel flat products company, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated talent Financial Controller who will take the responsibility of the company's internal control systems, reporting and finance activities for its plant at Aperam Services & Solutions Turkey in Gebze district. 

The candidate will report hierarchically to the Chief Financial Officer and and will work closely with all the team members and different stakeholders.

  Key responsibilities            

> Reporting and management of customer balances and collections

> Responsible for customer credit risk management and credit insurance and guarantees

> Reporting and managing daily/weekly/monthly cash flow and liquidity activities

> Coordination with the banks and insurance companies

> Planning and managing hedge activities

>  Performing reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions

> Ensuring effective communication with other departments for accurate and timely reporting 

> Leading the month-end closing process and preparation of  monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS

> Supporting accounting team for the month-end group reporting in order to submit the financial results on a timely and accurate basis 

> Preparation of annual budget plans, rolling forecasts and long term business plans, provide actual versus budget analysis and explanations, balance sheet, working capital, Cash Flow KPI's and P&L with variance analysis, 

> Analyzing, benchmarking of product and customer profitabilities 

> Being a key support for the internal control system, compliance, corporate governance, GDPR ( KVKK), KGK  including but not limited to enhance internal control systems, internal audit follow up actions, standardizing and optimizing work processes, alignment of all Corporate policies, procedures and guidelines by reviewing, updating Company policies, procedures and guidelines 

> Performing ad-hoc reporting and analysis for local and group management

> Being a good example of continuous improvement

> Being a key support of local and transversalprojects

Skills and qualifications      

> University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering departments from a reputable university

> Minimum 3-4 years of financial audit background 

> IFRS and Statutory KGK reporting competency

> Multinational experience across all financial areas including customer risk management, treasury, reporting, controlling, planning and budgeting is a great asset

> Good knowledge of local tax and accounting regulations

> Curious, quick & self learner, well organized, self motivator, proactive and analytical thinker

> Fluency in both written and spoken English; French would be an asset

> SAP and/or LOGO experience 

> Proficiency in MS Office and Google applications

> Requires minimal supervision and has the ability to think independently 

> Independently plans and carries out assignments in conformance with accepted policies and practices

> Resolves commonly encountered work problems and deviations by exercising judgment in selecting appropriate instructions, policies, guidelines, or accepted practices

> Passionate for continuous improvement and quality

> Strong communication and interpersonal skills

> Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

> For male candidates, military service should be completed

> No restriction to travel in and out of country

> Resident in Gebze or Istanbul Asian side
