 We are recruiting experienced Senior Rail Telecoms & SCADA Expert, capable of define Architecture , lead & supervise Installation, Test and Commissioning of telecom & SCADA systems for following disciplines for railway system;

 ·       SDH, PDH, IP-MPLS

·       CCTV

·       Video Management System

·       SCADA

·       PABX & PSTN & VoIP Cards

·       TETRA Radio Systems

·       Public Address system
Experienced and capable of using relevant test equipment, understand, verify design requirements and BOQ, and produce FATs, SATs, ITPs and related test documents, test certificates, acceptable to current NR (Network Rail) and other prevailing standards.
In addition of the development of specific projects he/she will be responsible to organize the activity and manage the relationships with the sourcing and the potential suppliers as follow:

·       Coordinate activities of subcontractors on project planning and especially with the civil works activities; report regularly to Project Management.

·       At Tender phase, define the most adequate technical solution according to the customers’ requirements by performing  in-depth review and  challenge the  technical offers of suppliers ( architecture, bill of quantities, choice of technology / products). Reach the  “just-enough” fit for purpose solution.

·       Supervise and inspect all site telecommunications activities to ensure execution in accordance with the Project Schedule, Site Specific Work Plans, Approved Work Methods, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans and Approved for Construction Drawings

·       Coordinate with Engineering to ensure the feasibility of installation using formal Site Modification Instructions to deviate from Approved for Construction Drawings where necessary.

·       At Tender phase, elaborate alternate proposals to customers in order to improve competitiveness (value engineering, proposals of partial or non-compliances…  )

·       Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with the safety policies and procedures and approved work methods.

·       Handover to commissioning using handover process/ documentation and support commissioning team to complete the testing phase.

·       Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements,

·       Coordinate Métier Requirement and Configuration activities

·       Provide clear visibility and adequate documents to assist Managers (Calculations, technical reports, BOQ, Variation orders, Claims, reporting, etc.)

·       Analyse requirements and propose cost effective solutions to the track lead engineer.

·       Ensure that the design is compatible with the standards of health & safety,

·       Coordinate with other entities (other ALSTOM activities/ civil work partners…) for the technical aspects of the interfaces and especially with the civil works.

·       Providing Return of experience to be implemented in Reference Solutions. Contribute to the RoE committee and documentation update.

·       Technical open issues resolution on site, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure,

·       Complete and submit site inspection forms and reports according to project needs

·       Support and coordinate the Telecom activities

·       Ensure contact with the client and/or consortium representatives for the telecom sub-system definition

·       Ensure technology watch with the suppliers

·       Assist the sourcing for telecom suppliers mapping

·       Ensure support on normative aspects

·       Ensure design review application according to projects milestones 

·       Plan, execute, monitor and control Design, configuration, maintenance, test and Commissioning activities for the telecommunication system according to the overall program schedule.

·       Interface with Customer and Engineers on design and commissioning status

·       Maintain/Coordinate As-Built Documentation submissions

·       Deployment and sizing of networks (fiber optic transmission and other physical deployments (ODFs ..)

·       Network maintenance and monitoring (protocol analyzers, performance indicators and quality of service),

·       Coordinate and manage Maintenance Service activities

Knowledge & Experience

·       Excellent level in network (Wi-Fi, IP, Gb-Ethernet, IP / MPLS, SDH) including a detailed understanding of associated protocols (IP, Telnet, TCP / UDP, SDH) and routing principles (OSPF / RIP)

·       Telecom Expert Engineer, specialized with minimum 20 years-experience in telecom subsystems and interfaces especially minimum 10 years within railway systems

·       Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (client).

·       Time management and reporting skills

·       Sense of urgency / priority

·       Customer & Product Focus

·       Structured and organized with Hands-on approach

·       Extensive working knowledge of Complex Networks design, both wired and wireless

·       Extensive experience with network architecture design

·       Working knowledge of Switching and Routing protocols

·       Working knowledge of wireless communications in demanding scenarios

·       Working knowledge of Safety standards, rules and procedures

·       Prior experience managing medium-large sized projects and project teams

·       Excellent ability to use sophisticated test equipment

·       Working knowledge of Test and commissioning processes

·       Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

·       English operational in read/writing and technical meeting

·       Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate complex technical information

·       Experience in the Railway Signalling Systems sector would be a plus.

·       Familiar to the GSMR communication system,
