Cluster Controller / European Controller Support

Akzo Nobel Powder Coatings Europe is seeking a controller support for Turkey/Russia/MEA playing a key role in financial reporting and control (in line with IFRS and AN’s policies and procedures) with commercial support and finance issues along with specific projects. 

Reporting line: The incumbent will be reporting to European Controller of Powder Coatings

Location : Gaziemir / İzmir – AkzoNobel Powder Coatings Plant (Aegean Free Zone - ESBAŞ)

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from a reputable University (Business Administration or Economics)
• Min 10 years of experience in relevant fields and ideally in multinational environment (preferably min 3-5 years experience as business controller)
• Strong business/commercial driven profile
• Advanced IFRS and financial knowledge
• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and other MS Office programs
• Knowledge in SAP finance modules
• Advanced level of English language
• Results driven, analytical and pro-active
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable working in matrix organization
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Knowledge of Turkish accounting standards
• No restriction to travel

İŞ TANIMI

• Drive monthly performance against target and strategy and take pro-active measure when required
• Challenge assumptions and performance against market conditions. Formulate and actively drive OPI growth, risks and opportunities and closing the gap actions highlighted in the monthly review cycles.
• Supporting month-end / quarter and year-end closing together with local finance teams and having consolidation responsibilities.
• Supporting/consolidating financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting (Integrated Business Plan; IBP) and information to management team developing company’s financial strategies and business performance (pricing, margin analysis, cash flow)
• Prioritizing capex investments according to business needs
• Approve and challenge sales contracts, rebates schemes, discount schemes, promotional schemes (year, quarterly, monthly, seasonal promotion)
• Contributing to business objectives, adding value through direct activities and supporting business to deliver in excess of targets
• Working as key contact for corporate duties such as AN’s InControl process to make sure that company’s policies and procedures are applied across Europe and propose actions to resolve/mitigate the issues/risks together with InControl Compliance manager of AN. Follow up NFLoR, CSAT for commercial unit Dividend & other financial obligations of JVs
• Coordinate and work with Integrated Supply Chain-ISC controllers, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Regional Accounting Center-RAC, Global Business Services-GBS, Customer Financial Services-CFS, internal control pillars for a joint finance team development plan and local succession plans
• Additional controller duties as necessary
