Purchasing Specialist

We are now looking for a Purchasing Specialist for Supply Chain Department of our company, Akcoat, which is located in Hendek / Sakarya.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry departments,
• At least 3 years experienced in Purchasing area of corporate companies,
• Proficiency in using ERP programs (preferably Oracle),
• Good command of MS Office programs,
• Excellent command of English,
• Improved problem-solving skills,
• Strong communication skills,
• No military obligation for male candidates,
• No travel restriction,
• Having B type driving license and active driver,
• Resident or able to reside in Sakarya.

Job Description

• To carry out all purchasing processes in order to perform the procurement of property and services related to the categories for which he/she is responsible, in accordance with the technical approval of the requesting unit and the Akcoat standards and procedures,
• To make property and service purchasing contracts with suppliers, to ensure the necessary coordination with suppliers, legal unit and related technical units for the preparation of the contract, get the necessary approvals, follow the contract, periodically auditing information about the contract, to extend / terminate / change the scope of contracts if necessary, in coordination with the relevant departments,
• To follow up the shipping processes to deliver the orders on time, to ensure that the orders arrive on time in the factory,
• To make invoice checks through the purchases and to work in coordination with the Accounting and Finance units to make the supplier payments on time,
• To conduct supplier management related to the categories responsible for (finding new / alternative suppliers, classification, working by classification, evaluation, ensuring sustainability),
• To continue contact with the suppliers, to evaluate the quality of property/services and deadlines, to follow up on the removal of negativities that will affect the quality and take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of complaints, if any.
