Application Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Application Engineer to join our technical team located in our new regional office in Istanbul. 

Job Description 

• This candidate will use his / her technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills to: 
• Provide product engineering support to sales, channel partners, and customers. 
• Support activities include; on-site field support, telephone and online support of field problems 
• Provide technical training to channel partners and customers 
• Assist digital marketing team for product related content 
• Advise sales team in offering customer specific solutions. This includes (but not limited to) pre-sales and post-sales technical assessments, feasibility testing, technical response to customer bids, 
• Construct hardware and software demonstration prototypes to aid sales and marketing efforts. This includes rapid hardware prototype development, high-level application software coding and system integration. 
• Participate in trade shows. 
• May be assigned other projects and tasks.

Required Skills

• Bachelors degree or above in Computer and Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field is required. 
• Background in Computer and Electrical Engineering and/or Application Engineering. 
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in hardware design or technical support in PC or related field. 
• Must have experience/knowledge in x86 and/or RISC-based system architecture. 
• Must be able to use a multi-meter and oscilloscope along with schematics in debugging hardware problems. 
• EMC test and methodology knowledge and experience in analyzing failure/RMA data is a big plus. 
• Must possess excellent communication skills, self-starter, and a team player. 
• Fluency in English is a must. Mandarin is a plus. 
• Driving License and frequent travel are required.
