QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION


Our client is a global market-leader in the sales, marketing, and distribution of speciality chemicals and ingredients with more than 3,700 employees in over 50 countries.

 

We are looking for a “Technical Sales Engineer” to join our client’s Construction Chemicals Sales Team in İstanbul/Turkey.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from reputable universities preferably in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in construction chemicals or building materials
  • The jobholder must demonstrate clear commercial awareness, combining analytical expertise alongside accurate data manipulation
  • Interpersonal skills are essential the jobholder is required to interact with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Fluency in English
  • No military obligation for male candidates
  • No restrictions for travelling and valid driver's license

Main Responsibilities:

  • To manage, develop and understand the needs of a growing customer base, making regular visits to these accounts and building, maintaining and managing relationships with key contacts at all levels.
  • Negotiating prices and volumes with customers in order to maximize returns to the business.
  • Seek out, analyse and develop new accounts, promoting sales of the product portfolio in line with business growth strategies.
  • To agree annual sales budgets with the Sales Manager in line with business strategy.
  • Gather, analyse, interpret and present market, product, competitor and industry data to enable development of the forward strategy of the business.
  • To visit and represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences, networking with representatives from a broad range of companies as requested by the Sales Manager.
  • Pro-actively monitor and review payment/commission terms against customer/principal portfolio, ensuring that payment terms and cash flow implications are considered at time of negotiation for all new and existing business.
