QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

We’re looking for a Social Media and Marketing Assistant to join our small company, but the mighty, team to continue our recent success and play a central role in achieving significant growth across all our brands & e-commerce websites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking for an opportunity to grow and succeed in a company that has big plans for the future.

Working closely with our design and marketing team members, you will be responsible for co-creating and developing marketing content and then executing digital marketing campaigns across all channels.

The role weight is:  50% social media, 40% content creation (inc, graphics/video) and planning, 10% reporting and research.

Key Responsibilities


Developing and implementing social media content and campaigns across all of our brands and websites. Plan, execute and report on these campaigns by providing key customer insights and learnings from the ongoing analysis.

Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity in order to make recommendations on how we can continually improve our digital strategies and drive website visits and inquiries through engaging content.

Alongside our Resource Planning Manager and Graphic Designer, you’ll plan visual content and written communications and ensure that these reach our audiences effectively.

Have a ‘can-do’ attitude with regards to helping in other aspects of the business and be willing to travel to assist with Events, operations and social media coverage of live events across the world.

Manage day-to-day relationships with related platforms, agency partners and key internal stakeholders.

Track cost and revenue KPIs for each campaign maintaining performance trackers at the brand level and for portfolio campaigns, presenting this information at team meetings when necessary. Contribute to monthly marketing and wider team meetings – feeding back activity and learning reports.


About you


Essential Experience


You must be interested and driven in growing brand awareness and latest digital marketing trends, growing inbound website traffic and e-commerce sales and increasing our search engine rankings. You’ll have an understanding of digital channels such as SEO, PPC, Email, and Social Media, as well as the ability to interpret customer insight and help drive and evolve the marketing strategy to achieve business objectives.


You will need to have a strong ability to multitask as this is a small business that requires all roles to be flexible as per business needs, but more importantly, balancing marketing activities across multiple brands and audiences can be a huge challenge on productivity.


The role will require you to have very good written and copy editor skills and the ability to pick up the phone or email communications with a wide range of people.

Desirable Experience


Knowledge of the E-trading & jewelry  industry

Demonstrable experience of creating successful content marketing plans across several platforms, working with Email Service Providers and working knowledge of WordPress.

Numerate and analytical, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and web analytics, specifically Google Analytics, as well as experience and comfort with learning new software and systems

Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, and best practice

Able to communicate clearly (in writing, presentations and on a one-to-one basis) to all stakeholders

Knowledge of standard office software, MS Office 365, Adobe Suite, etc

Event Management experience

2-year+ digital marketing experience
