CALZEDONIA was founded in 1986 in Verona, Italy with aim to create a new way of selling hosiery and beachwear for women, men and children, through a franchising sales network.
Little more than twenty years later, the Calzedonia network boasts more than 1200 shops throughout the world: Italy, Austria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Lebanon, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.

On the basis and experience of this success, in 1996 CALZEDONIA created the INTIMISSIMI brand. INTIMISSIMI directly manufactures its own label underwear with a complete range of bras, briefs, matchig sets, lingerie, vests and pyjamas for women and men from 15-50 years of age.
By the beginning of 1998 the retail chain had 80 outlets, end of the 2008 there were already 1100 shops throughout the world: Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation,Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
