QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Purchasing Agent for our factory in Torbalı, Izmir, who will be responsible from purchasing required production materials (i.e. Non Tobacco Materials and foreign tobacco) to meet the requirements of Philsa and South European countries in the right quality and quantity in line with production requirements as well as the stock level planning & ordering strategies, and company policy and procedures.

- Analyze the production requirements planned in SAP and define the production material requirements in line with the stock level planning & ordering strategies to ensure the continuity of supply in a cost effective manner
- Plan procurement of production materials for projected new launches and material changes in coordination with related departments in Philsa
- Prepare timely purchase orders in line with vendor and transportation lead time
- Provide forecasts to vendors for future requirements and notify them about significant changes in production plans in advance
- Propose alternative sources of suppliers and cost improvement projects in order to contribute to the minimization of product cost and to the improvement of overall quality
- Prepare input for budget, based on price forecasts, stock level planning and ordering strategies per material
- Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers on matters relating to procurement plan, delivery schedules and supplier problems
Qualifications:
- University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Turkish
- Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical, creative thinking and learning skills
- Strong communication, team-work and cooperation skills
- Excellent MS Office Applications
