QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We currently have a vacancy for a Plant Controller, based at one of our European Bevcan plants at İzmit Plant. The role will be part of the Turkey Plant Finance Team, work in coordination between sales, finance and logistics departments.
Qualifications
- Manage month-end closing process and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site.
- Work in collobration with sales, finance and logistics departments regarding current and future proposed customer pricing on building actual and budget models including margin analysis to maximize company profitability.
- Support Price Model preparations per Budget/ RF scenario and active participation through the process including a reconciliation of price model and sales reports in coordination between sales, finance and logistics departments.
- Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions.
- Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plant.
- Coordination of customer pricing on monthly, quarterly and annual basis and ensure invoicing prices are correct per agreed customer contract.
- Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team.
- Make monthly reconciliation with customers on various pricing and cost components and ensure proper accruals were done in coordination with sales and finance.
- Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
- Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Design and maintain all standard cost of all plant products.
- Implement Sarbanes-Oxley internal control policy and procedures which lead to successful annual internal and external audits.
- Monitor all activities and ensure compliance to all corporate standards.
- Assist management and executives to achieve all business objectives.
- Reconcile all physical inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory and perform financial audit on annual basis.
Required Knowledge / Profile
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of management as well as internal and external customers/leaders
- Ability to work in coordination between other departments effectively on different assignments and priorities per period.
- High level of proficiency in multiple business systems and in Microsoft applications.
- Analytical thinking and strong business sense.
- Possess strong controllership skills and process orientation High level of energy and commitment towards continual improvement
Experience
- Previous relevant minimum 3 years experience in a financial role preferably at a large manufacturing company
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance
