Your role and impact

A BI Data Visualization Specialist is responsible for creating visual representations of complex data sets to aid in decision-making and storytelling.

This role involves designing and developing charts, graphs, maps, and other dynamic graphical representations using business intelligence (BI) tools. The specialist works closely with data experts and product management to transform data into insightful, user-friendly dashboards and reports. Key responsibilities include the development, implementation, and support of data visualizations, as well as ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of visual data communication. Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau is essential for creating compelling data visualizations that drive meaningful change. As is expertise in data preparation tasks and languages such as SQL.

What you will do:

• Development of a range of performant, consistent and clear dashboards
• Finding the right visualization approach for different persona’s such as field engineers, bizdev managers, Airties C-level, telco technical and business analysts
• Writing data transformation pipelines to prepare data for these visuals
• Understanding customer information needs and translating it into relevant dashboards
• Setting the new benchmark for quality dashboards in Airties
• Share know-how internally to raise data science team reports to the same level
• Assist product management define proper reporting requirements for key KPIs

What you should ideally bring:

• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline is required. MS, MEng, or PhD preferred.
• 5 or more years of experience in BI, data analytics and/or dashboarding roles. This is a senior role.
• Expert dashboard creator using Tableau.
• Strong SQL knowhow for data preparation tasks.
• Excellent spoken and written English. As an international company, Airties is an English-language environment.
• Attention for detail in and consistency across deliverables.
• Clear communicator, translating customer needs into concrete answers.
• Understands the goals and optimizes for them instead of blind execution.
